Doğasav SÜMER

My name is Doğasav SUMER. I am a 3rd year student at Inonu University, Molecular Biology and Genetics. During the semester, I work with Canbolat GÜRSES PhD. of our department in the cell culture laboratory, for both practicing and reinforcing my knowledge. I took place as a speaker with the subject of “Rare Diseases and Current Treatment Methods” on the 2nd Cell Science and Molecular Biology Webinar in August 2021. My interests; neuroscience, immunology and bioinformatics.

Çiğdem AFAT

I am a 4th year molecular biology and genetics student at Yıldız Technical University. Currently, I am a member of the Executive Board of the Turkish Biologists Association and I am a manager of the Junior Biologist program, which we created with the support of the Biologists Association. We have been publishing a monthly magazine since February 2021 and I am the editor-in-chief of the magazine. I am also one of the 28 Influential Young Leaders chosen by “Starting Point”. Previously, I had the opportunity to participate in many project competitions in the fields of genetic diseases and drug development. Outside of academia, I have a team where I set up a book club and a movie club. Since bioinformatics and genetics have always interested me, I plan to do my studies in this direction.

Onur ÖZTÜRK

I am in my 4th year at Bursa Uludağ University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. I’m an active member in the board of management of the Turkish Biologist Association (TBD) and the Turkish Biological Sciences Network. I am a manager of the Junior Biologist program that we created as a TBD sub-project. I organize the webinars given within the scope of the program and I moderate the meetings. I am doing an online internship on transcriptomic analysis at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. I want to improve myself in the fields of molecular biology and bioinformatics.

Mahmut Onat ÖZTEN
